Nom nom!

May 2014 saw the second annual Eat Cambridge food festival, featuring some of the most exciting pop-ups, supper clubs, street food and exciting collaborations, springing up across the county. The street food ‘scene’ in Cambridge is really starting to take off and I personally am very excited about that.

Eat Cambridge street food night market, 10th May, promised to be bigger, better and tastier, offering fine food offerings, live music and entertainment.

This small gallery includes shots from the likes of Steak and Honour, Fired Up Pizza, Urban Street Kings, Buffalo Joe’s and DogTown, though the event actually included a whole host of independent local foodies. For a full list, see the Eat Cambridge website.

The shoot

The shoot itself was an informal affair, but all traders were happy for their goods to be showcased. With nothing but my trusty nifty fifty and in-between scoffing my face, I managed to snap several mouth-watering shots, but I couldn’t feature everyone; the event was absolutely heaving and it was a struggle to move around the crowd. Over all, I’m happy with my modest haul from the day, with shot of the day going to that delicious ‘Classic’ burger from Steak and Honour.
