When I saw this sunset, I broke the speed limit and ran red lights so I could get home, grab the camera and run anywhere I could to get some elevation and shoot across the Cherry Hinton rooftops. That place happened to be near a railway crossing.
I actually like the way the gates silhouette against the skyline. For me, they create a connection with the ground that wouldn’t be there otherwise.
That’s why I love photography. I get to be myself and make no qualms about it.
